Hola, I’m PK, a creative thinker/writer with a knack for making brands sound like they actually have a personality. With 20 years in advertising, 14 of those as a creative director, I’ve worked everywhere from boutique agencies to global powerhouses, shaping campaigns for brands like Bacardi, Coca-Cola, Budweiser, GORE-TEX, GoDaddy, Arby’s, and Sherwin-Williams. Whether I’m crafting copy, concepting campaigns, or strategizing what’s next on the daily docket, I always bring a mix of strategy, wonder, storytelling, and just the right amount of irreverence to the table.
Outside of work, I’m a golden retriever wrangler, recipe tinkerer, rare dub reggae collector, beachcomber, antique mall walker, amateur juggler, and a proficient hula hooper (these hips don’t lie). I never say no to a good road trip or a hole-in-the-wall taqueria, especially if the sign is faded and worn. I’ve thrown pottery, lasted a full eight seconds on a bull named Thunder, and spent time living the van life (thanks, COVID). A mad lib savant and self-appointed nickname specialist, I firmly believe that a well-placed self-deprecating joke can diffuse even the most heated situations, because sometimes, laughter really is the best strategy.
My curiosity is never fully satiated, and I’m always looking for new ways to push myself creatively; whether that means diving into a new medium or software, experimenting with different storytelling styles, or just seeing how far I can take an idea before it gets completely out of hand (or budget). Right now, I’m knee-deep filming a cynical, deadpan YouTube cooking series that blends sarcasm with making a tasty meal. At the same time, I’m writing my first children’s book about my dog, Kevin, a story inspired by his misadventures, quirky personality, and general belief that the world revolves around him. Because let’s be honest, it probably does.
